Accessories
I have now browsed around to see what kind of accessories I would like to have to my N95-1. And there's a lot of them around but what to get?
Well obviously it depends on what your needs are and what you would like to spend on it. I'm very interested to see what I would need to use just my N95 and don't use any computer. And also what to have if one goes hiking and want to Blog when your out and about. So this is what I would get:
- A protective case to keep your N95 dry!
- A case to protect it from being scratched
- Equipment to charge the battery
- Tripod/Gorilla Pod
- Telescopic Lens
- Keyboard
Regardless if your plans not include being out in rain and moist, it's not possible to avoid. So the first thing to get is a waterproof case and there's a lot of them in the market so I will not make any suggestions other than be sure that the one you buy has got double seals.
Another thing to secure is of course that protect your equipment from getting scratched, and the solution for that is to get a crystal case (better make that 2, they're not expensive!) So here's a link to where to get one.
There's not a lot of possibilities to charge the battery when you're out and about. So I would have at least one emergency battery loader, and one that's not expensive is the Energizer and works very good. The downside of that type is of course you might need to bring extra batteries with you (= extra weight), so another solution is and solar powered one. There's a couple of them to, so it's up to you what brand/price you'd like to spend. I found one that seems to be a good one and that's Proporta's Solar charger.
Tripods is good when you're photographing, and I suggest you go read this excellent article to get your bearings straight in this matter, you get some tip about HDR photo at the same time!
Telescopic Lens, well It's not the best solution but there's no other so here's a link where to get one.
A keyboard will make it easier for you to write email, write for your blog and whatever you need to do that needs input. Of course the first one to get is the Nokia SU-8W, as it has got the shortcuts for your S60 equipment. But there are other ones like the Freedom Universal Bluetooth Keyboard and the new Logitech Dinovo Mini. But I think I would go for the Nokia one even if it's not that stylish, but who needs that when your out and about?
Well so there you have some of my thoughts about what's needed, If you have other suggestions please give me your comments!
